The Barbie Nonsense Instrument is a self-sustaining, interactive, and highly-unpredictable musical instrument represents a transformation of the well-known Barbie doll. Once a symbol of unreal plastic, Barbie has been reimagined almost beyond recognition. In this work, the musical version of Barbie, with its bionic organs, exposed circuitry, and deconstructed body, emits pulses and bleeps rather than clear, sensual speech. This creates a dizzying clash between traditional expectations and today's increasingly digitised reality. Nevertheless, as a genuinely responsive and novel musical instrument, the Barbie Nonsense Instrument is expected to bring entertainment and joy to users.
